Grant has spent a great deal of time optimizing his knowledge of our camera to get the shot. And I gotta admit--he's good. Really good. And he complains a lot that I haven't done this well enough so that when he's not around to take the pictures, there won't be many and they won't be as good as they could be. Our dear little daughter's life has been very well documented so far.
So on a quiet morning earlier this week with the sun was pouring in and my sweet husband's request in mind that I get more experience with the camera, I stripped Kendra down to her diaper to let her get a little of it and decided when I saw her to make him proud of me. These shots really don't do justice to the level of adoreableness when she's stretching and getting the blood going to wake up.
You can see me with the camera in her eyes if you look closely...
Turns out, I look at the side of her head a lot--so I have a unique appreciation for how long her blonde hair is in the back. I often curl my fingers through it while she's nursing. So pretty.
For some reason, I'm especially proud of this one...
So, Grant still has the edge on me by far but I'm feeling pretty good about my ability to send him shots while he's a work to pass the time more quickly for both of us.
Actually, one of the most endearing Daddy traits of Grant is how he constantly clicks through all the pictures we've taken of her and he just starts smiling and murmuring how beautiful she is so I don't mind adding fuel to that fire at all.

I think they are great pictures! I also love the last one where you are holding your hand. It is so sweet.
These are such sweet pictures! I think the second picture looks a lot like Ashley!
She is so beautiful! It's amazing how much love can a new born make you feel. BTW I can't stop laughing at the umbilical cord incident. I wish I could see Grant when it happened.
Beautiful pictures!
I do like that last one!
Beautiful! I actually like the 3rd one the best (except the poor umb. cord), but the hand one is precious!
