But some days..I feel like an Awesome Mom.
One day out of nowhere Kendra asked for eggs to eat. As she had read Green Eggs and Ham many times recently, I asked her if she wanted green eggs. She was delighted with this prospect and eagerly accepted.

I try really hard to make sure that I spend at least a few minutes one on one with each child in our family. It's actually pretty built into the schedule with Paxton and Kendra and while it's not really so much built into the day with Elliot, he's the best about demanding it anyway. I just have to pay attention to when he's asking and stop what I'm doing to give it to him. It's usually as simple as taking 5 minutes to read him a book.

One day we met some friends at a park and when we got there, I realized that I didn't have Paxton's hat and it was a bright, sunny day so I was worried what that might do to his incredibly fair skin and rather sparse hair. Well, I didn't have a hat but I did have burp rags (disguised as cloth diapers)...

One Saturday, I wanted to sneak out while the boys were napping and Grant was home to go to the grocery store without all the kids but I decided to take Kendra with me. However, she had taken off her clothes to play dress up and those were the only clothes not in her bedroom. So my options were to take her in jammies, open the bedroom door to either fetch her clothes from that day or get her a fresh set and almost certainly wake Elliot, let her go out in dress up clothes. I'll let you gather what I chose.

There are other examples but that will have to suffice for now. I have often said that my reaction to people who say things like, "I don't know how you do it with three children!" is, "You have no idea how non-awesome I am..."
But I'm not entirely *non*-awesome.
I guess.
