A Bushel and a Peck

This video really speaks for itself. It's actually a second take--she did a whoooole bunch of really cute stuff for us and I thought it was recording. But I thought wrong. Luckily, they graced us with an encore performance.

Enjoy.

Just for the record, Grant did go ahead and change her diaper. Very willingly. And Grant didn't realize until yesterday that he doesn't know the tune to that song. He's quite self-conscious about what everyone will think--he almost didn't want me to post the video. Yeah, right! Like I could contain myself from sharing that kind of cute!

She is very very cute. It's so great that she is developing little expressions and personality. How fun for you guys. The funny thing is that in like a year, when she is like running around doing all kinds of big girl stuff, you will look back at these videos and think, wow, we took a really long video of her not really doing anything. But don't feel bad because we have all done it. I took like 15 minutes of video f Simeon just laying on the bed smiling because I thought it was so amazing. Then I went back and watched it and realized that I take much shorter videos of him running around doing stuff. Aren't we funny parents. Anyway, I love love love that you guys are just as crazy about Kendra as we were about Simeon. Every little moment really is special.

That is so totally cute I was laughing out loud during most of it. What cute cheeks! I was wondering what angel she was trying so hard to look at over her shoulder. It surely looks like a happy family. BTW Grant does a pretty good job on the tune of the song. The sheet music for that song is on page 16 of the Richardson songbook which I think you have.

So I totally sing that song all the time to my kids, but I never knew there was anything past "and a hug around the neck." Now I'm going to have to go google the words to that and learn it right.

I don't think that song actually HAS a tune - it's just whatever sounds good to the singer. Hehe. At least that's how it's sung in THIS house. :o) Very, very cute video!
