Big Sister, Big Helper!

About the time we moved here, it made sense that Kendra should have a household chore.

This is what we came up with.

It would probably be faster for me to just do it myself, but hopefully she's learning some values this way.

What a diligent little worker. And she takes such joy in it. Good idea Mom. The is a participant in the family!!!!

How much does she charge? My kids throw themselves on the floor and whine, "but it's too hard" whenever I ask anything of them. Okay, not all the time. But enough it drives me nuts. And unfortunately, with so many little ones, it's just easier to get them out of the way than try to help them help me. :P

Cute! Totally the same attitude I try to have with my kids. Of course it's easier and faster to distract them with something else (like tv or a movie) but I think so much better for them to learn. I need to do this more!

That is so cute. She is a great helper! And I am super jealous of your dishwasher :). Mine broke about a month ago and instead of just washing the dishes every meal (or just getting a new dishwasher), I wash my dishes now when we run out of plates. And it takes 2 hours.
