A few new tricks

When my Dad came to visit back in June, Kendra started doing something hilarious as a game to play with him, and now she does it on cue.  She shrugs!

As if to say, "I don't know..."  Which the actual cue we use, if we say "I don't know..." we get this:

Or this:
Even if her mouth is full, she's not too busy to let us know that she just doesn't know, either...

This one cracks us up.

In other news, her mobility has gained even more strides--I didn't think there were any more!  I am want to keep lots of hud on our dining table for the sake of keeping it out Kendra's reach.  At least, I was want to.  A few days ago I turned around to see this:

Why is this a problem?  She only climbed up onto the chair all by herself.  It's pretty nerve-wracking to turn around and see your "baby" standing nearly as tall as an adult all on her own.  I think she knows I'm less than thrilled about this particular development.  See how she's holding that out for me?

It's as if she's saying, "Look Mama, I got it for you!  Here you go!"

She's got some brains in that Farnsworth-sized head of hers to try to placate me like that.

Recently I posted about what a Water Baby Kendra is.  And that does mean all water.  Especially the shower!

"Hi, Mom!!"

"What's up?"

"I love it in here!"

"This is totally my idea of fun."

And with our move coming up, I've been doing some packing.  And sometimes that means that Kendra "helps" me as I'm packing.  Sometimes I open a drawer and she does hand me things one at a time instead of taking them out of the box I just put it in at the same rate, but sometimes she finds a treasure she wants to keep and she runs.

Something she has long since had a certain curiosity about is eye glasses...as I was packing up the bathroom, she found an old pair of Grant's glasses that we keep around even though he doesn't wear them anymore.

Hopefully he didn't want or need them back any time soon.

EVER.

Cus yeah, this is just too cute to take away...(except that I was worried about the lenses giving her a headache...)
Such a brainiac!  :)

Yep, this one's a keeper.

I'm totally impressed with the shower pics. Justin and Charlotte just barely got over freaking out in the shower.

Wait until she starts PUSHING THE CHAIR to wherever she wants to get up to. Then you have to stay on your toes all the time. Love the shrug. Too cute.
